**I received a copy of this book in exchange for a review**
I loved this story. I instantly felt connected to the characters. Betsy is my new favorite spunky heroine. She struggles to deal with her brother’s death while trying to solve the mystery about the unnamed dying patient stashed away at the VA after-care facility where she volunteers. Her brother died in Vietnam and her family is never the same. This is a retelling of Homer’s Odyssey. At first, I didn’t know how the story would parallel, but the author did a creative job of creating a new story.
I highly recommend this book. Once I started, I had to keep reading so I could finish it. It was one of those that forced me to ignore my kids, serve warm-ups for dinner, and stay up late until I finished it.
