It’s hard to open up to people who know you. It’s even harder to put yourself out there with people you don’t know. I admire people who share about their struggles in an open, loving, and compassionate way. It is obvious Roop wrote this book out of love. She believes in the power of her book and it’s message. I liked the pictures of her scattered throughout the book. It added a sense of “realness”. Roop’s friendly tone makes this book, even more, fun to read. She is not condescending or spouting off about all the science and facts that she knows. It’s just a motivating look into the private life of one woman who found her strength and wants to share it with all her friends.
This book is a journey.
This isn’t going to be some quick fix or an advice book on how to lose weight fast. This book is all about how I changed me. It’s the process in which I was able to change my mind—about food, exercise, and life in general. It is how I changed my body so I’m able to perform in peak condition. But most importantly, it’s about how I healed my heart, both physically and emotionally.
