Terri Luvs Change

I started this blog over a year ago. Before that, I diddled around with blogging but I never kept up with it. The indie authors I work with have kept me going this time. I think working with indie authors is incredibly rewarding. All indie authors remind me of salmon when they have to swim upstream. I love cheering on the underdog. When my husband and I first met, I support UCLA over USC because, at that time, they were the underdog (and also because it put me in opposition to my husband but that is for a different post).

In my zeal to help as many as possible, I have neglected my own writing. I also don’t get much of a chance to really enjoy an author. I read the first book in their series and then I don’t get the time to read anymore because I am reading a new book by a different author. It with this in mind that I’m changing my blog a little bit. For the time being, I will not take any new requests.

I want to go back and finish the series I reviewed. I want to take the time to read more works by the authors I have already enjoyed. More than anything though, I want to improve my own writing and develop my editing business. For me evaluating word choice and punctuation is as much fun as riding Space Mountain for the first time with Gerard Butler and a million dollar cash prize waiting for me at the end. I want to post more personal and non-review posts. I think it will help me develop my skills. I want to get to know more bloggers by participating in tagged posts and blog hops.

I think this new focus in a natural progression in the life of a blogger and I’ looking forward to it.

  1. Good luck on your change I’m direction. I know what you mean as a new blogger I jumped on the chance to review the majority of the books I was offered and I feel like I’m completely neglecting the books I already own! I’m still trying to find the balance but I’m sure I’ll get there

  2. It is always good to take a step back and do what you want for a change. As I finish up the last few review requested books that I have I’m getting really excited to read my own books and work on my own projects again. Good luck!
